UPDATED: PSNI officers have attended the scene of a dramatic lorry smash in Derry this evening.
The incident happened just after 7pm at the roundabout at the main entrance to the Crescent Link Retail Park in the Waterside.
The lorry, which was carrying logs, turned over during the incident.
It is understood the lorry clipped a kerb on its way through the roundabout and then overturned.
One eye witness said: “Thankfully nobody was seriously injured in the incident but due to the severity of the smash and the operation involved in clearing the lorry from the road there has been a large build up off traffic in the area.
PSNI officers later diverted traffic away from the area the incident occurred.
Recovery equipment was brought in to clear up the incident.
