A number of shops in Derry city centre have been evacuated due to a bomb alert.
Shipquay Street and Shipquay Place have been closed by police following a telephone warning of a bomb.
Police are conducting a search and have evacuated a number of premises.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area and police are asking anyone noticing any suspicious objects to contact them immediately in Strand Road on 0845 600 8000.
