Republic of Ireland football legend Johnny Giles will be in Derry tonight to support a fundraiser in aid of a junior football club.

Giles, a former Ireland international manager and ex-Leeds United and Manchester United midfielder – now a popular football pundit with RTE –  will host a “Question and Answer” session taking place in the Tower Hotel in Butcher Street from 8.30pm.

The event is being held as a fundraiser for the local Oak Athletic FC and the John Giles Foundation, which helps provide funding for grassroots clubs up and down the country.

The event has been organised by the Derry branch of Republic of Ireland Supporters Club.

For tickets, telephone Jim Barr on 07711179495 or Dermott Hillen on 07595354575.
