Derry City winger Mark Timlin has been called into the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for a friendly match against the Irish International Amateur which will take place later this month at the AUL Complex in Dublin.
Former Ipswich Town apprentice Timlin joined Derry midway through the campaign last season.
While he took time to adjust to his new surroundings, Timlin quickly settled into the team and showed the vast potential that he possesses.
Timlin endeared himself to the Derry City support with a raft of superb displays towards the end of last season.
Noel King was obviously impressed and that’s why he’s called Timlin into the Republic of Ireland squad for the friendly against the Irish Amateur outfit on February 21st.
Derry City will continue their pre-season preparations this weekend when they face the North-West Saturday Morning league on Saturday afternoon.
