POLICE in Derry are continuing to try and take off the street drug dealers peddling their illegal gear.
Officers yesterday carried out a number of planned searches in the Galliagh and Shantallow areas under the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act.
Chief Inspector Tony Callaghan said: “Some ‘deal bags’ of herbal cannabis were found and we also seized other items that may be ancillary to the trade in illegal drugs.”
No arrests were made during the operation.
Anyone with information about street drug dealers or those higher up the food chain should ring police on the 101 non emergency number.
