Phil Coulter is to perform at a major classical music festival taking place later today.
The musical maestro will leave the town he loves so well to take part in the BBC Proms in the Park being held in Belfast.
Also performing will be Welsh singing star Katherine Jenkins, Lithuanian accordion player Martynas and virtuoso violinist Chloe Hanslip.
Thousands of fans of classical music are expected to turn up for the event taking place at the Titanic Slipways.
The event will form part of the BBC’s Last Night of the Proms celebrations, as Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England host live events to mark the end of the world’s largest classical music festival.
As an extra treat, the Proms audiences at home and on the site will be given a preview of new music and dance spectacular, Heartbeat of Home, from the producers of Riverdance, which is due to receive its world premiere in Dublin next month.
The event will be broadcast live on BBC Radio Ulster 92-95FM, 1341MW and on DAB Radio. The entire Belfast Prom will also be available to view live online at bbc.co.uk/proms.
