Fast times are being predicted for this morning’s Waterside Half Marathon with perfect running conditions forecast for the 13.1 mile challenge.
The event gets under way at 10.00am when the temperature is expected to be 11 degrees amid sunshine and clouds.
With the leaders expected to complete the course in just over an hour, conditions at 11.00am are set to remain the same.
Sunshine and clouds continue with temperatures rising to 13 degrees at 1200 noon.
There is good news for walkers who are expected to take up to four hours to go round the course. While temperatures will reach their peak at 14 degrees between 1.00pm and 2.00pm showers are forecast which, no doubt, will be much welcomed by walkers, some of whom are expected to take up to four hours to reach the finish line.
