“Road bumps” are to be erected in a number in areas in the latest “traffic calming” measures to be introduced in the city.
Road Services have announced to control the speed of traffic they intend to construct “road bumps” and other traffic calming works at Danesfort Crescent, Castleview Park, Dunkeld Avenue and Fortfield Avenue in the Greenhaw area.
Similar traffic calming measures are to be introduced at Brunswick Road and Kensington Road in the Waterside and at Foyle Crescent in Newbuildings.
Road Service say the works are to be carried under Article 65 of The Roads (Northern Ireland Order 1993).
Objections to the proposals can be made to the Department of Regional Development (DRD), Roads Section, 1 Crescent Road, Derry BT47 2NG by the end of this month.
