A 54-year-0ld man has been returned for trial after appearing at a preliminary enquiry in Derry charged with a total 26 child sex abuse charges.
The man, with an address in Co. Fermanagh and who cannot be named for legal reasons, faces 17 indecent assault charges and a further nine gross indecency charges alleged to have occurred between 8 April, 1973 and 31 December, 1988.
The accused was released on his own bail of £500 to appear at Derry Crown Court on 8 October next when he appeared at Derry Magistrates Court this morning.
He as ordered by Resident Magistrate Austin Kennedy not to make contact with any of the Crown witnesses in the case.
