Police in are looking to speak to a woman who they believe may be able to help them with their investigation surrounding the assault of a man in the Strathfoyle area.
A police spokesperson said the investigating officers in the case are keen to speak to the woman who answered her door to the victim shortly after the attack which involved two men in possession of wooden planks.
The spokesperson added the incident occurred in the Temple Road area between 6.30am and 7am on Sunday, September 8 last and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000 or a member of their local Neighbourhood Team directly – details of which can be found on the PSNI website.
The spokesperson added: “Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
