The a section of the Derry to Moville road is closed today to allow maintenance work to take place.
Donegal County Council said the the R238 round would be closed from 9.00am to 3.30pm.
Traffic will be diverted through Carndonagh.
The closure is part of essential maintenance taking place at Clar, Redcastle which are due to be completed by Tuesday next, 24 September.
A spokesperson for Donegal County Council advised motorists to expect delays in the area while the work was being carried out.
