A 34-year-old Derry man has appeared in court charged in connection with a hammer attack on a car in the city last month.
Gary Andrew Vanderkamp, of Glenside Gardens, was charged with criminal damage and possession of a offensive weapon at Glenside Gardens in the city’s Glen Estate on August 21 last when he appeared at Derry Magistrates Court this morning.
Vanderkamp, who admitted the offence, was remanded on continuing bail to appear in court again on 25 October.
Telling the accused to stay away from Glenside Gardens and the surrounding area, Magistrate Liam McNally told Vanderkamp he could face a custodial sentence if he committed any further offences before appearing back in court.
