Strabane’s dog warden appealing for information following the death of a pair of three-week-old pups in Sion Mills.
An angler discovered the cross terriers in a box on a river bank in the village, however one of them had already passed away from severe malnutrition.
The second was turned over to the local kennels but died on the way to the Dogs Trust.
Strabane dog warden Mark Hegarty has called on anyone with knowledge of the animals or their origins to get in touch with Strabane District Council.
Helen Davies, from the Rainbow Rehoming Centre in Eglinton, said there is no excuse for anyone abandoning puppies in such a way.
