Derry GAA will this weekend honour its heroes who brought the All-Ireland title and the coveted Sam Maguire Cup to the Oak Leaf County for the first time in 1993.
As part of the county’s 125th anniversary celebrations, and to mark the 20th anniversary of that famous September Sunday afternoon in Dublin, the players, management, backroom staff and county officials will gather in City Hotel for an evening of reflection, reminiscing and above all, celebration .
Captain Henry Downey will once again lead his team, and with the attendance of the team already confirmed, it promises to be another memorable evening, to add to those already celebrated this year by the gaels of Derry this year.
The celebration dinner will be held in the City Hotel this Saturday with tickets priced at £50 per person. Tables of ten are also available for £400 for clubs and businesses. Dress code formal but not black tie.
