Police in Derry have warned runners and walkers of the danger of listening to loud music when crossing road junctions.
The warning comes after concerns were expressed about the possibility of accidents due to runners/walkers listening to loud music via headphones.
There has been a significant increase in the number of people walking and running throughout the city.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “While many people listen to music when exercising this can dangerous as you won’t be aware of what is happening around you.
“Remember to always look when crossing junctions and make sure your music isn’t that loud that you can’t hear what is going on.”
