SPECIAL APPEAL: COULD YOU GIVE RUDY AND ROXY A HOME?

A local charity has issued a special appeal to find a home for two “affectionate” dogs which have been “in care” for the last three years.

dogs

Rudy and Roxy.

Rudy and Roxy are two stunning Japanese Akita’s, aged approximately eight years. They spent almost two years in the Rainbow Rehoming Centre in Derry before being rehomed.

However unfortunately, due to a change in their new owner’s personal circumstances after just four months, they were returned to the centre and a year later they are still seeking their new home .

A Rainbow spokesperson said: “They are extremely close so they must be rehomed together. They love each other but they are not fussed on other dogs or cats. They are very loving and affectionate and they adore walks and play time.

“We are really hoping Rudy and Roxy will not have to spend another three years in the centre waiting for their forever home. Potential new owners must have experience with large breeds.”

If you could offer Rudy & Roxy their forever home please contact the Rainbow Rehoming Centre
 at Ballygudden Road,
Eglinton, telephone (028) 71 812882. Opening hours are  centre during opening hours 12.00 noon – 4.00pm daily.
