A sailor was airlifted to Altnagelvin Area Hospital last night after taking ill on board a vessel in seas off the Northern Ireland coast.
The Sligo-based Irish Coast Guard helicopter touching down at Altnagelvin Hospital last night.
The Sligo Coast Guard helicopter successfully airlifted the man from a cargo vessel in the Northern Irish/Scottish area.
The man was taken to Altnagelvin Area Hospital where the helicopter touched down around 9.00pm.
The sailor’s condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
