Derry champions Foreglen will to into tomorrow’s Ulster Intermediate Club Championship quarter-final clash at Celtic Park as favourites against Naomh Muire from Donegal.
The Lower Rosses club have only played in the Ulster Championship once before and that was back in 2007 when, after defeating the Fermanagh champions Bellanaleck in the first round they went out Aughamullen of Monaghan in the semi-final.
Foreglen, who won a third Derry Intermediate championship this season, have already played one game in this year’s Ulster Championship, defeating Armagh champions, Madden, in the preliminary round on a 0-13 to 1-7 scoreline.
Prior to that, they were comfortable in their Derry final 3-9 to 1-11 victory over Glen.
The Naomh Muire threat will come the ‘Yank’ Boyle brothers, Shaun, Hugh and Paul, who scored 1-8 between them in their comfortable 1-13 to 1-7, victory over St Naul’s in Donegal county final.
Tomorrow’s game at Celtic Park will have a 2.30pm throw-in.
