Institute 2 Bangor 2
Paddy McLaughlin pounced deep into stoppage time against Bangor at Drumahoe this afternoon to maintain Institute’s unbeaten start to the season in the Division One Championship.
Paul Kee’s men had to come from behind on two occasions at the Riverside Stadium after the visitors twice took the lead.
Institute, still smarting from their midweek defeat on penalties by Newbuildings in the North West Senior Cup, fell behind to an Ethan Boylan strike.
Stephen Parkhouse squandered the opportunity to bring Institute level when he had a penalty saved by keeper Paul Cairnduff.
Darren McFadden levelled things up before Boylan struck again to put the visitors in front once again.
With the game deep in stoppage time and Bangor looking to have imposed a first league defeat of the season on the home side, skipper McLaughlin latched on to a Robbie Hume cross in the 92 minute for a last gasp equaliser.
