City of Derry’s Alan Bogle continued his fine form by winning the first race in the Sperrin Harriers Winter League Trail Series in Cookstown yesterday.
Over 100 runners braved wet and blustery conditions to complete newly Davagh Forest venue.
Bogle, who produced arguably the performance of the day at the Springwell Crosscountry race two weeks ago, was a prominent figure at the front, before leading the field home in 36.46.
Pierce McCullagh (Sperrin Harriers) came in second in 37.15 while established trail runner,Brian Young (unattached) completed the men’s top three in 38.01.
