Drogehda United 1 Sligo Rovers 0
Derry City’s hopes of playing in next season’s Europa League hang in the balance as Drogheda United have taken an early lead against Sligo Rovers in the FAI Cup final at the Aviva Stadium.
With Derry fourth in the Airtricity League they need Sligo to win to qualify for Europe next season.
If the scores stay as they are the Brandywell will miss out in playing in the Europa League.
Paul O’Connor was the Drogheda goalscorer finishing off a flowing move in the 13th minute.
It is the first goal Sligo have conceded in this season’s competition.
