Police in Derry are appealing for information following an attack in which a man was knocked unconscious in the Hazelbank area of the city.
The incident occurred at Ringfort Road in the early hours of Thursday last (31 October) but details have just been released by police.
The injured party was walking along the road when he was approached from behind by a number of males who knocked him unconscious.
The man required hospital treatment after sustaining injuries to his mouth, face and head. His injuries are not believed to be life threateneing.
Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed this assault or anyone who has any information to contact them at Strand Road on 0845 600 8000.
