Police in Derry are hunting two men after a robbery in the city last night in which a member of staff was threatened with a hammer.
At around 7.20pm, a masked male broke into two vehicles parked in the Lenamore Road area before leaving the area in another vehicle.
Twenty minutes later, a male damaged a front window of business premises in the Culmore Road area with a hammer before entering another premises in the area armed with a hammer. A member of staff was threatened during the incident, but was not harmed. It is believed ta sum of money was taken.
The male made off in a waiting car driven by another male towards the Shantallow area.
A police spokesperson said enquiries into the incidents were continuing and detectives at Strand Road were appealing for information.
The spokesperson asked anyone with any information to contact CID at Strand Road police station on 0845 600 8000.
