Derry man Shane Duffy has been named by Noel King in the Republic of Ireland under-21 squad for two crucial European qualifying games over the next week.
Duffy, on loan at Sky Bet Championship side Yeovil Town from Premiership club Everton, is included in the panel for the Group 6 clashes with the Faroe Islands and Montenegro.
Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, Blackburn’s John O’Sullivan, QPR’s Michael Harriman and Wolves defender Matt Doherty return to the squad after missing the recent clash with Romania through injury.
Watford midfielder Connor Smith is included but is suspended for the first game.
The first game against the Faroe Islands will take place tomorrow at the Sligo Showgrounds (kick off 3.45) with the away clash with next Tuesday’s away clash with Montenegro kicking off in Stadion Podgorica, Podgorica 4.00pm (Irish time).
