Institute kept their unbeaten league start intact with an impressive 3-1 victory over Harland & Wolff Welders at Drumahoe in the Irish League Championship this afternoon.
The win sets up a mouth-watering top of the table clash next week with league leaders Dundela.
The home side got off to the perfect start when Robbie Hume fired home after six minutes.
Stute doubled their lead early in the second half when McFadden finished off a move that involved McCrudden and McKeever.
The visitors pulled a goal back in the 71st minute when Deans’ shot was deflected into the net.
However, Paul Kee’s side wrapped the points up 10 minutes later when captain Paddy McLaughlin outjumped the visiting defence to head home a McCrudden cross.
Following two consecutive 2-2 draws, the impressive win is just what Paul Kee needed as they prepare for next week’s clash with Dundela.
