Derry City midfielder Barry McNamee is “keen” on a move to cross-channel football, according to his agent.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international – whose contract at the Brandywell club expires next year – is currently on trial with Sky Bet League One side Brentford, managed by former German international and Manchester City striker Uwe Rossler.
His agent Steve Blatherwick of Elevate Sports Management told Sky Sports: “Barry is going to Brentford and is really excited by the chance.”
He added: “He has had an excellent season for Derry City and obviously a move to England is something he is keen on.”
