The halls of Derry’s Guildhall were thronged over the weekend with thousands of seasonal shoppers out to bag a bargain at the annual Christmas Craft Fair.
The three day event, run by Derry City Council, marked the start of the city’s Legenderry Christmas celebrations.
The annual Craft Fair supports the work of local craft makers and attracted shoppers from across the city and region on the hunt for unique gift ideas in the run up to the festive season.
Over 40 craft producers set up stalls in the beautiful surrounds of the newly refurbished Guildhall, selling everything from sculpted ceramics to finely crafted jewellery.
The event, now in its 19th year, has been hailed a huge success by festival organiser Terence O’Kane. ”
He said: “Over the three days we estimate that we’ve had over 4,000 visitors to the fair, which annually marks the beginning of our big countdown to Christmas.
“The Guildhall provided the perfect festive backdrop for the event, and it was great to be able to return to the fair’s traditional home.”
