The young Derry man who was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident in Thailand last month is on his way home.
Richard Quigley, from Ederowen Park in Galliagh, had to undergo life-saving surgery following the incident which took place in Bangkok on 24 October.
The 27-year-old had been working as a barman in the Thai capital for three years.
Richard is being accompanied by his brother, Stephen, who flew to be by his bedside following the accident.
Thousands of pounds was raised in Derry to help pay for Richard’s medical expenses which included surgery to remove a clot from his brain which cost in the region of £6,000.
Richard’s family have said they have been overwhelmed by the generosity shown to Richard.
