Foy Vance, whose current release “Joy of Nothing” won this year’s Northern Ireland Music Prize For Album Of The Year, is to play Derry next month – and if his shows in Dublin and Belfast are anything to go by, it is heading for a sell-out performance.
Vance’s appearance in Sandino’s on 8 December is part of his Irish tour which he will undertake when he returns from America.
Winning the prestigious album prize was no mean feat as among the many “big hitters” shortlisted for the accolade were Snow Patrol’s frontman Gary Lightbody’s, new country outfit, Tired Pony, chart-topping Two Door Cinema Club, instrumental musicians And So I Watch You From Afar and electronic group Space Dimension Controller amongst others.
If you want to enjoy his appearance and Sandino’s the advice is to get your ticket early his shows in Dublin and Belfast have already sold out.
