City of Derry Spartans have picked up top accolades at the Athletics Northern Ireland annual awards ceremony.
The Derry club was presented with the Senior Club of the Year award at the event held at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast.
Long-serving Spartan Charlie Large shared the Volunteer of the Year award with Raymond Black, of Willowfield Harriers.
The annual awards celebrate the often unsung heroes of athletics in Northern Ireland – the volunteers, officials and coaches who put in a remarkable effort throughout the year to create the foundations on which our sport is built.
Sports retailer Podium 4 Sport supported the awards, providing equipment packs for the winning clubs and goody bags for individual winners including running shoes supplied by Saucony.
Athletics NI president Gerry Lynch took great delight in presenting the Derry winners as he is a member of City of Derry Spartans.A
