A man was treated for the effects of smoke inhalation following a fire in a flat in the Glen area of Derry last night.
Fire crews from Northland Road and Crescent Link stations attended the blaze which broke in first floor flat in Glenvale Park at around 8.00pm.
A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said during the incident firefighters wearing breathing apparatus searched the premises to ensure everyone was accounted for.
The fire, which had started in an electrical fuse box, was brought under control and after the premises were cleared of smoke by a “Positive Ventilation” fan, residents were allowed to return to their properties.
No one was injured in the incident but a 32-year-old man was treated at the scene for the effects of smoke inhalation.
