AIB Ulster Football Club Championship Final
Ballinderry will be hoping to end a 12 wait for Ulster glory when taken on Glenswilly in the final of the AIB Ulster Senior Football Championship Final at Healy Park in Omagh this afternoon.
The Shamrocks have dominated the senior scene in Derry in recent years, winning the county title three years in succession, but have not won the Ulster title since 2001.
The Derry champions go into the game against Glenswilly from neighbouring Donegal who are making their first appearance in the Ulster club decider.
The Shamrocks will be hoping to go one better than their last appearances in the Ulster final when they lost out to Crossmaglen in the 2006 and 2008 deciders.
Ballinderry will go into this afternoon’s game as favourites but will know they will face a stiff challenge from a Glenswilly side that includes Donegal’s 2012 All-Ireland winning captain, Michael Murphy.
The game will be screened live on TG4. Coverage from Healy Park begins at 1.30pm with throw-in at 2.00pm.
