One of Derry’s most popular children’s playparks is to close this week – to allow for resurfacing work.
Derry City Council said the Junior Playpark at the bottom of St. Columb’s Park will close for a week from tomorrow to allow for resurfacing work in the play area and adjoining avenue.
Apologising for any inconvenience caused, a council spokesperson the the temporary closure was in keeping with health and safety requirements.
