A public meeting to give local people an opportunity to input into the public consultation on the future delivery of consumer representation. will be held in Derry next week.
The meeting, taking place in the Tower Hotel at 2.00pm on Tuesday next 10 December, is one of a series of meetings being hosted the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI).
In the 2011-15 Budget, the Stormont Executive committed to undertake a review of Arm’s Length Bodies to ensure Ministerial priorities and statutory commitments continued to be delivered in the most cost-effective manner.
As the review of the Consumer Council has now been completed, the consultation is a continuation of the process of ensuring value for money in the use of public funds and the delivery of services to the Northern Ireland public.
Meetings have already been held in Belfast, Ballymena and Cookstown with two more to be held in Newry and Enniskillen.
