Derry man Gregory McGonigle is the new manager of the Dublin senior ladies football team.
The Dungiven man takes over from Paul Gilheaney.
McGonigle has spent the last three years in charge of Monaghan ladies during which time he led them to two All-Ireland finals.
He also brought the National League Division One title to the Farney County last year.
Gerry McGill, chairperson of the Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Association, said he was confident McGonigle would bring success to the Dubs.
He said: “Gregory has successfully come through our interview process with our interview panel having no hesitation in recommending him for the role of Dublin senior manager.
“I am confident that Gregory with his knowledge and experience of Senior County football, combined with his enthusiasm, drive and desire to be the best will ensure that Dublin will be challenging for national titles in the not too distant future.”
McGonigle’s first competitive game in charge of Dublin will be against Monaghan in the opening round of the Tesco Home Grown National Football League on 2 February next.
