Over £800 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support at the Mayor’s Christmas in Song Concert which took place int the Guildhall on Sunday night.

The concert, which featured the Music Promise Junior and Youth Choirs, Codetta, orchestra and soloists from across the city, was hailed a fantastic start to the city’s festive celebrations.
Extending a big thank you to the organisers, Derry City Council, and all the participants and those who came along to support the event, the Mayor Cllr Martin Reilly said the event was a huge success for everyone involved.
The Mayor said: “It was a great event and I was delighted to see so many families coming along to enjoy some seasonal carols and Christmas songs. T
“The Guildhall was the perfect setting for the event and there was a real festive atmosphere.
“I would like to thank everyone for contributing to my chosen charity and for coming along to support the event.”
