The PSNI has issued a warning to members of the public after one man died and four others were admitted to hospital after taking what police believe were Ecstasy-type yellow “Speckled Rolex” pills.
Police have issued a warning following the death of the man in West Belfast last night.
A PSNI spokesperson said anyone with Speckled Rolex tablets or any other illegal drugs should dispose of them immediately.
It is understood that detectives are investigating reports that yellow ecstasy pills known as “speckled Rolex” may have been taken by the men during the house party.
“Police would advise anyone in possession of tablets like these or any other illegal substances to dispose of them immediately and safely,” the spokesman said.
One community worker said: “Anyone in possession of yellow “speckled” ecstasy (should) contact community reps/PSNI now.”
Derry SDLP MLA Pat Ramsey is supporting the call.
Describing the incident as an “awful tragedy,” he said a family was “coming to terms” with the untimely death of family member.
