Five men, arrested in connection with an incident in which two males were assaulted in the Derry earlier this month, have been released on police bail.
Police in the city area appealing for information about the incident which occurred in the Aberfoyle Terrace area on Saturday 21 December last.
A PSNI spokesperson said at around 4.30am, it was reported that six males gave verbal abuse to four males in the area.
The spokesperson added: “It is believed that a car was also damaged in the area and two of the males were assaulted during the incident.”
Five males were arrested in relation to the incident havereleased on police bail pending further enquiries.
The PSNI spokesperson said enquiries were continuing.
The spokesperson added: “Police are appealing to anyone with any information in relation to the incident to contact police in Foyle on 0845 600 8000.
