The Derry “LondonDerry” Doire has taken second place in Race 7 of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
The Derry Clipper crossed the finish line at Rivergate Marina in Brisbane just 22 minutes behind winning yacht Switzerland, its first podium finish.
OneDLL took third spot 24 minutes behind the Derry entry.
The second place finish follows up the Derry’s Clipper victory in Race 6 which was incorporated in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Race.
After a stopover in Brisbane, the crews will take to the water again on Sunday next for Race 8 – the 4,500 mile sail to Singapore.
