MCIVER MAKES EIGHT CHANGES FOR MCKENNA CUP CLASH WITH FERMANAGH

Brian McIver has made eight changes to the starting line-up for this weekend’s Power NI Dr McKenna Cup clash with Fermanagh from the side that defeated Ulster champions Monaghan last Sunday.

The clash will see McKenna Cup starting debuts for Swatragh’s James Kearney and Claudy’s Aaron Kerrigan with Patsy Bradley returning to the middle of the field alongside Eoghan Rua’s Niall Holly.

McIver has named a strong bench including the experience of Sean Leo McGoldrick, Charlie Kielt and Fergal Doherty alongside newcomers Peter Cassidy, Paudie McGuian, Neil McNicholl and the Loup’s Anthony O’Neill.

Loup’s Aidan McAlynn will captain the Oak Leafers for Sunday’s game at Owenbeg which will have a 2.30pm throw-in.

Sunday’s team is: Eoin McNicholl (Gleann an Iolair); Michael McShane (Baile na Scrine), Oisin Duffy (Forghleann), Dermot McBride (Baile na Scrine); Carlus McWilliams (Baile na Scrine), Aidan McAlynn (An Lúb) captain, Kevin Johnston (Dún Geimhin); Patsy Bradley (Leacht Néill), Niall Holly (Eoghan Rua); Benny Heron (Baile na Scríne), James Kielt (Cill Ria), James Kearney (Suaitreach); Declan Mullan (Eoghan Rua), Emmett McGuckin (Machaire Fíolta) and Aaron Kerrigan (Clóidigh).

Substitutes: Thomas Mallon (An Lúb), Declan Brown (Baile Eachaidh), Mark Craig (Dún Geimhin), Charlie Kielt (Cill Ria), Sean Leo McGoldrick (Eoghan Rua), Peter Cassidy (Baile Eachaidh), Paudie McGuigan (Leacht Néill), Fergal Doherty (Baile Eachaidh), Ciaran McFaul (Gleann), Neil McNicholl (Gleann an Iolair), Ciaran McGoldrick (Eoghan Rua) and Anthony O’Neill (An Lúb)
