The “quick response” by Derry City Council staff to repair bus shelters in the Ballymagroarty area of the city has been commended by a local councillor.
Sinn Féin Councillor Eric McGinley said the remedial work was carried out after a number of bus shelters in the area had fallen into a state of some disrepair which contributed to a “rundown in the general appearance” of the district.
He added: “In response to representations made to Derry City Council I am pleased to report that remedial work has been carried out to bring the bus shelters up to the required standard.”
Cllr McGinley concluded: “I would take this opportunity to thank Council staff for the quick response and for ensuring that residents in the Ballymagroarty area can access adequate facilities.”
