There are reports of robberies at two more bookmakers offices in Derry tonight.
It is understood the betting offices targeted were in Foyle Street and Strand Road.
Unlike the previous five betting office robberies which involved Ladbrokes betting shops, the latest two are understood to belong to the McLean group.
It brings the number of robberies at bookmakers in the city to seven since 14 December when a man, armed with a suspected firearm, held up staff at an office at Racecourse Road in the Shantallow area.
Police are continuing to question a man arrested in connection with that incident
The man, in his 30s, was detained by police yesterday.
It was the first of five armed robberies carried out at Ladbrokes offices in the city over the festive period which prompted the company to offer a £10,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.
Police have said there is no connection between the Ladbrokes robberies in which guns, knives and a hammer were used in raids at offices in Pennyburn, Creggan, Elmwood Street and Lecky Road areas.
No one was injured in any of the incidents but staff are believed to have been badly shaken.
A 43 year old man arrested in connection with the raid at the Pennyburn office on 16 December during which two shots were fired has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
