Police are hunting a man following an armed robbery last night at a Co Derry petrol station during which staff where threatened by a raider wielding a knife.
The incident occurred shortly before 8.00pm when the armed robber entered the premises in the Church Street in Magherafelt and demanded money.
He made off with a sum of cash and is believed to have headed in the direction of the town centre.
The robber is described as being approximately 5’10” tall and of slim build. He was wearing a grey-hooded top, black trousers, black gloves and black footwear.
A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone with any information to contact CID in Magherafelt Police Station.
