Ballinderry Shamrocks have taken a well-earned break from their preparations for next month’s All-Ireland Senior Football semi-final clash to celebrate a successful season.
Over 300 guests joined the Derry and Ulster champions for a four course meal and entertainment in the newly refurbished Deramore Suite at the Malone Lodge Hotel in Belfast, where they were greeted by the proprietor Derry native Brian Macklin.
Brian is understandably proud of what the Shamrocks have achieved so far this season.
He said: “The boys have had an absolutely fantastic season. They did themselves and all of their supporters proud, not only beating off Glenswilly to become this season’s Ulster Club Champions, but also securing a place in the All-Ireland semi finals where they will play St. Vincent’s in February.
“It was only right that we threw a party to mark their success and wish them all the best for the semi finals next month.”
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed Ballinderry’s semi-final clash against St Vincents from Dublin will take place in Pairc Esler in Newry on 15 February next, throw-in 5.00pm.
The other football semi-final between Castlebar Mitchels and Dr Crokes will also be played on 15 February, with O’Moore Park the venue at 3.00pm.
