The family of a Derry teenager believed to have fallen into the River Foyle have appealed for the people of the city to help them find him.
A major search of the river was launched this morning after personal belongings of Andrew Quigley (19), from Fergleen Park in the Galliagh area of the city, were found on the Foyle Bridge.
The items were discovered at 7.40am by two members of the local Foyle Valley Athletic Club out on an early morning training run.
The pair waved down a passing taxi, the driver of which immediately alerted police.

The family of the teen have thanked Foyle Search and Rescue and the Coast Guard for their efforts and appealed to members of the public to join in this afternoon’s search along the banks of the river.
Meanwhile, the police have appealed to anyone who was in the vicnity of the bridge this morning and who noticed anyone in the area to contact them at Strand Road on 0845 600 8000.
