Local youngster Dean Jarvis has committed his future to Derry City having agreed a one year deal with the club.
Jarvis joined the Brandywell club in June last year from Institute.
Primarly a full-back, the 21 year old slotted in as a central defender in a number of games towards the end of last season, having made his debut in the FAI Cup win over Bluebell United,.
He went on to make eight first team appearances, scoring his first goal for the club in the 6-0 victory over Limerick in the last game of the season at Brandywell,
Meanwhile, Michael Hegarty has been appointed the club’s physiotherapist for the season ahead.
Hegarty, who played with Coleraine in the Irish League, served as the club’s physio during Pat Fenlon’s spell in charge at Brandywell.
