The search for a missing Derry teenager resumes today.
Andrew Quigley (19), from Fergleen Park in Galliagh, has not been seen since celebrating a friend’s 21st birthday party in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The alert was raised after personal items were discovered on Foyle Bridge at 7.40am later than morning by two members of the Foyle Valley Athletic Club out on an early morning training run.
Foyle Search and Research as well as Irish Coast Guard and PSNI helicopters have been searching the river during the hours of daylight.
Andrew’s family have been overwhelmed with the support they have received after appealing for members of the public to help them search the banks of the River Foyle.
Several hundred people joined the search at low tide yesterday afternoon.
