Police divers are to join in the search for a Derry teenager who went missing at the weekend.
Andrew Quigley (19), from Fergleen Park in Galliagh, has not been seen since celebrating a friend’s 21st birthday party in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The alert was raised after personal items were discovered on Foyle Bridge at 7.40am later than morning by two members of the Foyle Valley Athletic Club out on an early morning training run.
Ever since, Foyle Search and Research as well as Irish Coast Guard and PSNI helicopters have been searching the river during the hours of daylight.
Scores of Andrew’s family and friends have been joined along the rivers banks by hundreds of members of the public following a plea from the family.
The family have been overwhelmed by the response to their appeal and thanked those involved and have vowed to continuing searching until Andrew was found.
Anyone wishing to join in the search is asked to meet at the steps under the cityside end of the Foyle Bridge from 2.00pm.
