Derry will have a record number of entries in the Scór na nÓg Ulster finals taking place this weekend.
For the first time in the history of Scór in Derry, the county will be represented by six acts at finals being held on Saturday in Silverbridge, Co Armagh.
The acts competing are:
Ceili Dancing: Glen ( Caitlin McNally, Ciarrai Convery, Roisin McCabe, Katie Strathern, Maebh McGirr, Caoimhe McLaughlin, Ruairi McFalone and James McGilligan).
Solo Singing: Slaughtneil ( Thérese Mellon).
Recitation: Glen (Maebh McGirr).
Instrumental Music: Castledawson ( Niall Keenan, Eimhéar Mulholland, Nancy Devlin and Anna Coogan).
Ballad Group: Lavey (Katie Taylor, Annie McGurk, Emma Scullion, Clare Madden and Hannah Taylor).
Set Dancing: Glen (Caitlin McNally, Clare Gunning, Maebh McGirr, Caoimhe McLaughlin, Ruairi McFalone, Jack Gunning, Jack McGilligan and James McGilligan).
Winning acts will go on to represent Derry in the All-Ireland finals in five weeks time.
The Glenullin quiz team of Fearghal Close, Donal Close, James McKeown and Daniel O’Kane have already booked their place in the All-Ireland final be held in Castlebar on 1 March.
