Police in Derry have advised horse owners to take the necessary precautions to prevent the theft of equestrian equipment.
The warning follows the theft of horseboxes and equestrian equipment across Northern Ireland.
A PSNI spokesperson said anyone If you have been offered equestrian equipment in suspicious circumstances please contact police on 0845 600 8000. Also, remember to lock equipment away securely when not in use and please look out for your neighbours, particularly in rural areas, and immediately report anyone unknown people acting suspiciously in yards or around stables on 999.
